Redback's SmartEdge family of products is designed to deliver
advanced IP services and broadband subscriber management with
the highest degree of availability, scalability, and
flexibility. |

In either edge aggregation or subscriber management
applications, the SmartEdge platform helps carriers
dramatically reduce initial capital expenditures, service
provisioning and management issues, as well as ongoing
operational costs associated with delivering services.
The
SmartEdge platform is available as a router or Service Gateway
system. The SmartEdge Service Gateway system combines the
functionality of our SMS system for advanced subscriber
management and broadband aggregation with carrier-class edge
routing and service delivery. It enables service providers to
implement a next-generation broadband network and deliver
services to both businesses and residential users from one
unified platform while maintaining industry-leading
performance and reducing overall capital expenditures and
operational costs. As a Router, the SmartEdge system is a
third-generation edge router for the aggregation of leased
lines, ATM and Frame Relay and the delivery of VPN services.
It features very high reliability and scalability. |
